The East Los Angeles Occupational Center provides academic and vocational education for people age 16 and older from any geographic area. Services include an adult high school diploma program, English as a Second Language and vocational education. Also provided is preparation classes for the High Set test, which is the new equivalent of the GED. Career and vocational guidance is available to all students. There are no geographic restrictions.
Vocational education courses are available in fields such as clerical (Office Assistant), computer operator, electrical trainee, construction, graphic arts, health occupations (X-ray technician, Radiologist, Dental Assistant, Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician and Medical Terminology).
