The Ahmanson Building houses the permanent collection of paintings, sculpture, graphic arts, costumes, textiles, and decorative arts.
The Hammer Building houses a collection of Chinese and Korean artwork, as well as the Boone Children's Gallery.
The Art of Americas Building features American, Latin American and ancient American art, as well as special loan exhibitions.
The BCAM Building features contemporary art and special loan exhibitions.
The Resnick Exhibition Pavilion features rotations of temporary and loaned exhibits.
The Pavilion for Japanese Art houses the Shin'enkan Collection of Japanese Edo-period paintings and other Japanese ceramics, sculpture, lacquerware, screens, scrolls and prints.
The Leo S. Bing Center Theatre seats 600, and presents lectures, films and concerts.
The Director's Roundtable Sculpture Garden comprises nine large-scale contemporary outdoor sculptures and the B. Gerald Cantor Sculpture Garden features bronze sculptures by the Auguste Rodin.
The Museum has gift shops which are open to the public; there is also a cafe and restaurant on the premises.

The admission fee for adults is $23; fee for seniors age 65 and older and students with ID is $19.00; members and children aged 17 and younger are admitted free. There are minimal additional fees for some special exhibitions and museum programs. The second Tuesday of each month is free; LA County residents also gain free admission to the permanent collection and certain temporary exhibitions weekdays after 3pm.
