Organizational Consultation/Technical Assistance (Disabilities Issues, Blindness)
Provider: AMERICAN ACTION FUND FOR BLIND CHILDREN AND ADULTS
The program provides services for people with visual disabilities. Services include braille materials/collections for people who are deaf-blind or blind, public awareness/education, a website for braille users, and organizational consultation/technical assistance. The organization only maintains information for the United States; however, there are no geographic restrictions.
The Kenneth Jernigan Library For Blind Children lends books via the mail. It maintains a collection of Twin Vision (print and braille) for blind children and young adults, blind parents of sighted children, school, libraries, and other interested people may borrow. Selections for very young children are available as are braille books of interest to youngsters through the high school level.
