General Medical Care (Low Income)

The center provides health services for people of all ages who live in the south central Los Angeles area. Services include Child Health and Disability Prevention program exams (CHDP), dental services, general medical care, pediatrics, women's health services, and urgent care. There are no geographic restrictions.
CHDP provides regular, preventive health assessments and developmental assessments for children from birth to age 21 who are Medi-Cal eligible and for children from birth through age 18 whose family income is less than 200% of the federal poverty level.
Pediatrics include well child visits, preventative care, physicals and immunizations.
Women's health services include primary prevention and cancer screening and prevention.
Dental services include emergency services, examinations, fillings, cleaning and x-rays.
The health center also provides specialty care services that generally require a request from primary care providers.

Call to apply; an appointment is required. Walk in for emergency dental services; line ups start before 7:30am (only the first 15 people are taken each day). ID and proof of LA County residency are required.
Fees for services vary; Medi-Cal and other insurance are accepted. The ATP (Ability to Pay) program is also available.
