Disease/Disability Information

The society provides health services related to cancer for people of all ages in Los Angeles. Services include disease/disability information, health/disability related support group, health care referrals, nutrition education and smoking cessation. There are no geographic restrictions.

The society sponsors, supports or directly operates educational and advocacy programs including breast self-examination training for groups; a cancer education program for on-the-job workers; educational programs in schools; and seminars and training for professionals. A speakers bureau is also available and the society maintains educational libraries and provides advocacy for cancer patients experiencing work adjustment problems.

Services for people who have cancer include guidance about cancer treatment, education courses and transportation to medical appointments.

Reach To Recovery program is a support group connection program for adults 18 years or older with breast cancer.
