Pet Assisted Therapy Volunteer Opportunities

The center provides volunteer opportunities for people 18 years and older in Los Angeles County. Services include clerical volunteer opportunities, patient support volunteer opportunities, pet assisted therapy volunteer opportunities and sales/cashier volunteer opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions.
Volunteers assists with answering phones, answering call lights for patients, escorting patients, running errands, assisting with patient discharge and helping in the hospital gift shop.
Participants attend a one-hour orientation and two 4-hour training sessions before starting to volunteer.
