Health Education (Developmental Issues)

Provider: LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH - ANTELOPE VALLEY WELLNESS COMMUNITY

The center provides health services for people of all ages in the Antelope Valley area. Services include case/care management, health education, ongoing emergency food assistance and wellness programs. There are no geograpic restrictions.

An on-site systems navigator is available to connect individuals with community resources including food and housing, health care, mental health and substance abuse services, employment assistance, and more.

Health education includes classes and workshops on topics including cancer prevention, nutrition, disease prevention, and general wellness.

A drive-through produce giveaway is offered each month. It is a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

Wellness activities may include yoga and other physical fitness activities.

This is a Help Me Grow LA partner center. Staff provide health information, education and support related to child development, and can connect families to specialized community resources.
