Extreme Heat Cooling Centers

The agency provides extreme heat cooling centers for Los Angeles County. There are no geographic restrictions. 

Cooling Center services are activated when the heat index is 95 degrees or higher and predicted for two or more consecutive days. 

Los Angeles County cooling centers may be activated when weather is very hot or hits triple digit temperatures. All centers are located in public spaces, such as community centers, libraries or parks, and are offered free of charge. City of Los Angeles sites are also included in the list of activated cooling centers.
