Meal Preparation/Serving Volunteer Opportunities

The agency provides volunteer opportunities for individuals 21 years and older and some teenagers living in Los Angeles County. Volunteer opportunities include clerical volunteer opportunities, conference exhibit assistant volunteer opportunities, friendly telephoning volunteer opportunities, interviewing volunteer opportunities, meal delivery volunteer opportunities and meal preparation/serving volunteer opportunities. Although services are targeted to Azusa residents, there are no geographic restrictions.

  Clerical volunteers perform general office support, including receptionist duties, answering telephones, data entry, and filing.

  Conference exhibit assistant volunteers represent the agency by staffing booths at health fairs, information fairs, and flu clinics.

  Interviewing volunteers provides daily registry services for the agency. Interviewing volunteers, interviewing agency clients, and helping connect them to services.

  Meal delivery volunteers deliver meals to Azusa residents who are homebound. Meals are delivered Monday through Friday, 11:30am to 12:30pm.

    Meal preparation/serving volunteers help prepare and serve meals to Azusa residents. Congregate meals are served Monday through Friday at 11:30pm.

  The agency provides orientation and on-the-job training. Volunteers are not asked to take any tests, seek any special training, or pay any fees. The agency does not complete background checks or require volunteers to commit to a set length of service.
