Developmental Screening

The agency provides services for children, age birth to five, with developmental disabilities in Los Angeles County. Services include early intervention for children with disabilities/delays and developmental screening. Age restrictions apply; there are no geographic restrictions.

The Developmental Screening program for children, age zero to five years, is offered to parents who have concern about the developmental progress of their child. Parents are provided with screening results and recommendations for further services and/or offered education in strategies in working with their child on their skills deficits.

Treatment services include outpatient mental health services; referrals for additional services are provided. The agency works with the entire family including parents, guardians, and siblings during treatment. Staff are trained in TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Triple P (Positive Parenting Program, and Managing and Adapting (MAP). A psychiatrist is also available one day per week, to provide psychiatric evaluations and medication.
