Building Permits

This is the government office for the city of Gardena. Services include animal control, city information and maintenance, business licensing, building and occupancy inspections, permits, illegal dumping reporting, large item trash/garbage pickup, planning and zoning, and trash/garbage pickup. Services are generally restricted to residents of Gardena.
The city provides building permits, electrical permits, elevator permits, mechanical permits and plumbing permits for any contracted work done within city limits.
City maintenance includes street maintenance, street construction/repair, street lighting maintenance, tree trimming and street cleaning.
The Animal Services Division provides animal control, pet licensing and dead animal pickup.
Trash services and large item pickup are provided by Waste Resources of Gardena (WRG). Residents of Gardena in single family dwellings or apartments of 4 units or less, may call for free large item pickup four times per year.
