Parent/Child Activity Groups (New Mothers)

The hospital provides self-help support groups for individuals and families in Los Angeles County. Services include a bereavement support group; breastfeeding support group for nursing mothers; health related support groups for breast cancer, colorectal cancer, lung cancer, Parkinson's disease, prostate cancer, stroke, surgery for weight loss; parent and child activity groups (Mommy & Me); mental health related support groups for depression; Pregnancy/childbirth support groups; Parent support for families of high risk newborns (Parent Connection) and a speech therapy focused support group for stroke patients. There are no geographic restrictions.
The groups are facilitated by hospital volunteers or by professional facilitators. Times and days vary.

There are no fees for most groups. Mommy & Me exercise classes are $40 for four sessions. There is a voluntary donation of $2/session for speech therapy group.
