The program provides volunteer opportunities for people in Los Angeles County. Services include mercy flight volunteer opportunities and transportation volunteer opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions.
Mercy flight volunteer opportunities recruits volunteer pilots to provide flights for people who are ill. Most flights are made within a 1000 mile radius of the pilot's home base airport; occasionally arrangements can be made for transportation over longer distances and it may take 2 to 3 aircraft for a long flight.
