Toy Libraries/Toy Loan Programs
Provider: NEW ECONOMICS FOR WOMEN - FAMILYSOURCE CENTER - CANOGA PARK
The program provides family support services to low-income families in the City of Los Angeles, who live, primarily, in the central area of the city. Services include case/care management, financial management workshops, parenting skills classes, toys/toy loans and tutoring services. Clients must live within the City of Los Angeles.
The program provides a variety of employment and social services including case management services and personal financial management workshops to attain family self-sufficiency. The objective of the FamilySource Centers project is to assist low-income individuals and families to reach their employment and financial goals. Services are provided in a collaborative manner by a group of community based organizations from a single location. Clients who meet low-income guidelines and residential requirements may receive case management; health screening services; legal counseling services; financial management workshops; prejob guidance; welfare rights assistance; welfare-to-work services; and WIOA job training programs.
Support services for enrolled families include a child watch service while parents are in counseling sessions or engaged in employment workshops; transportation assistance, such as bus fare or YMCA van transport; referrals for other community services; follow-up services are provided for a year.

Application Procedure
Call to schedule an appointment. Documentation for eligibility includes proof of income, such as a pay stub, or letter of verification of public benefits; proof of residence such as a utility bill, or valid California Driver's License or California ID.
