Expectant/New Parent Assistance

The agency provides health education services to individuals who live in Los Angeles County. Services include childbirth education, chronic disease self management programs for individuals who have arthritis, CPR instruction, durable power of attorney for healthcare, expectant/new parent assistance, general health education programs, and sibling birth preparation programs. There are no geographic restrictions.
Childbirth education classes include the following topics: Cesarean Birth; Labor Pain Relief; Prepared Childbirth Series; Refresher Birth: Second Time Around Class; and Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC).
Chronic disease self management programs are available for individuals who suffer from arthritis, back problems, diabetes, and Parkinson's, as well as other chronic diseases.
