Recreational/Leisure/Arts Instruction

  The program provides recreation programs for children, adults and seniors at a variety of sites in the city of Manhattan Beach. Services are also provided at two community centers, the Joslyn Community Center and Manhattan Heights Community Center. Services include arts and crafts instruction, physical fitness, recreational activities/sports, and recreational/leisure/arts instruction. There are no geographic restrictions.

   The program provides after school drop-in playground which offers supervised activities for children but no day care services. 

   Sports leagues and classes for children and adults are available in the areas of arts, crafts, exercise, dance, sports and performing arts; and one-day bus excursions for adults and seniors.

    Services include recreational and educational programs for seniors.

    A Public Art Program is also administered by the Recreation Department.
