Provider: PREMENSTRUAL SYNDROME TREATMENT CENTER MGMT
The clinic provides health services for women age 15 to 64 in Los Angeles. Services include disease/disability information about and treatment for menopause, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), postpartum depression, and thyroid disorder. There are no geographic restrictions.
Treatment includes natural progesterone therapy for women who experience premenstrual syndrome or postpartum depression and natural estrogen-progesterone therapy for women being treated for menopause or posthysterectomy imbalances. The clinic utilizes a treatment plan which includes natural progesterone therapy, vitamin supplements and a specialized diet. Each client receives an initial two hour evaluation which includes a physical by a doctor, a detailed history of the patient, and a video presentation which explains the specialized diet, the need for vitamins and how to take them, and the types and use of progesterone. The clinic also gives each client a blood test for PMS and general medical care, if needed. Women who are younger than age 15 are considered for services based on their level of maturity and the severity of their case.
People can also call for information about PMS and its symptoms. Free brochures are available by mail upon request or can be picked up at the center. In addition, people may order books and cassettes which describe PMS, its symptoms, and its treatment. There are no geographical limitations for service.
