Child Care Providers (Low Income)

The center provides year-round child care services for children from preschool age (3 to 4) through fourth grade, whose parents are working, attending school or who can obtain employment within 60 days of the child's enrollment. Services include child care and extended day care. The program provides a variety of educational opportunities; staff assess and evaluate each child's needs and progress. Activities may include homework time for the students; enrichment activities; arts and crafts; physical and recreational activities and occasional field trips. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided for all-day students.

Children who participate in the day care program attend Washington Accelerated School Complex. Children who attend another school in the Pasadena Unified School District before enrolling in the program must complete the open enrollment/permit process to attend Washington Accelerated School Complex before being accepted into daycare. Parents must provide transportation to and from the day care center each day. Part-time attendance may be arranged dependent on the parents' circumstances. There are no special provisions for children who have disabilities, except speech and language.
