The agency provides adoption services for families in Los Angeles County. Services include adoption evaluation/placement and special needs adoption. Adults must be 20 years and older to be adoptive parents. To be placed in a home, children must be referred by DCFS. Age restrictions apply; there are no geographic restrictions.
The agency recruits adoptive parents, however, a referral is generally required from DCFS or from the programs Pre-adoptive Foster Care program. For children with special needs, adoptive parents must have at least two years of specialized foster parenting experience and participate in an additional training program.
