The agency provides education services for youth in Los Angeles county. Services include alternative education; day camps; field trips/excursions; a juvenile diversion program; and mentoring services volunteer opportunities for adults. There are no geographic restrictions.
This organization provides environmental awareness, life skills training, and outdoor career information and education services for youth in Los Angeles County. It utilizes environmental studies as a vehicle for upgrading the academic and behavioral performance of youth in grades 5 through 12 who reside throughout Los Angeles County. The organization offers outdoor field trips to state parks, national forests and oceanography sites; summer environmental field study and camping programs; and information about outdoor careers.
The agency also provides a diversion program, Project Day, for City of Pasadena youth referred by the schools and law enforcement agencies that includes similar outings, with smaller groups of participants. Personalized outings designed for families are also available. Outdoor career information is also provided; emphasis is placed on environmental careers, and includes trips to universities and colleges.
