Extended Child Care

Provider: COMPTON COLLEGE

The center provides a comprehensive child care program, that is open to students of the college system and to families in the community. Services include an infant care center, preschool for children age 3 to 5, and extended day care for school age children. Priority for enrollment is given to at risk families or children referred by DCFS; low income families are next in priority. There is a waiting list. There are no geographic restrictions.

The Child Development Center (CDC) is a state licensed program that provides developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences for all children; it includes opportunities for parent involvement and parent education; it also serves as an observation and praticum opportunity for students working toward certification in the child care field.

Call or walk in to apply or four a facility tour; immunization records and proof of income are required.
Fees
CalWorks recipients pay no fees. Fees are set by State Department of Education guidelines and are based on family income.
