Parenting Education (Kinship Caregivers)

The center provides foster family services for people of all ages in Los Angeles county. Services include life skills education for foster and former foster youth, and parenting education workshops for anyone in the community. There are no geographic restrictions.

The Youth Empowerment Strategies for Success (YESS-ILP) program provides life skills training for foster youth and former foster youth who are preparing to emancipate into independent adult life.

Parenting workshops are offered for foster and kinship care families periodically throughout the year. Topics include parenting skills; working with the dependency system; permanency planning, reunification and emancipation; and training of trainers for care providers.
