Discount Transit Passes

Provider: CITY OF SIGNAL HILL COMMUNITY SERVICES AND PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT

The agency provides transportation services to Signal Hill residents who are over the age of 62 or who are over the age of 18 and disabled. Services include disability related transportation and senior ride programs. Services are restricted to the area of Signal Hill.

The Dial-A-Lift program is a shared-ride program and provides transit services for medical, shopping, and other local trips for disabled individuals who are not able to travel by taxi. Individuals must be able to wait for up to 30 minutes.

The Dial-A-Taxi program provides vouchers to be used for Yellow Cab services, $15.00 in vouchers can be used per trip, riders must pay cash for the rest of the fare.

Discount transit passes are available to low income residents at a reduced rate based on income. Passes are good on Long Beach Transit busses only.

Application Procedure
All participants must be registered for Dial-A-Lift, Dial-A-Taxi and the bus pass program. Proof of residence and proof of income are required. Call for information or to make an intake appointment.
Fees
Residents who qualify for the Dial-A-Lift and Dial-A-Taxi programs pay a fee for each ticket book and coupon voucher requested.
