Wraparound Facilitation/Community Support

The agency provides outpatient mental health services for adolescents ages 5 to 17, who have moderate to severe emotional or mental problems and who can be maintained in the community with outpatient support. Services include art therapy, mental health evaluation, occupational therapy, outpatient mental health facilities, psychiatric day treatment, recreational therapy, school based integrated services, supportive therapies and Wraparound Facilitation/community support services. School based integrated services are restricted to Los Angeles Unified School District students in Metro Los Angeles County, SPA 4. There are no other geographic restrictions.
Outpatient mental health facilities services include crisis intervention; psychiatric evaluation; individual, group, and family therapy; case management; substance use disorder prevention and treatment; and parenting groups. Treatment is provided for anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts or attempts, post-traumatic stress disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, behavior disorders, eating disorders, and dual diagnosis.
The Wraparound facilitation/community support program is provided for court-referred youth in probation or in DCFS child abuse or foster care programs. Wraparound is conducted by a multi-displinary team consisting of a social worker case manager, a therapist and a parent "Partner". Sessions are conducted in the home and may involve just the child or the whole family as needed. The program accepts youth from age 8 to 18, and may continue for one year or longer. The service area is L A County SPA 4 (L A Metro area).
