Health/Disability Related Support Groups
Provider: BEVERLY HOSPITAL
The hospital provides self-help support groups for a variety of issues including a bereavement support group, a bereavement suport group, Alzheimer's/Demenita caregiver support group, and a diabetes self-management series. The programs are scheduled for several months; anyone may participate. There are no geographic restrictions.
The bereavement support group meets the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month. The group is targeted to adults, and addresses issues of loss of a loved one and recovery.
Caregiver/Care Receiver support groups provide respite and support for those who care for adults with dementia problems and Alzheimer's disease.
The Diabetes self-management course is a series of lectures on subjects such as learning behaviors that can benefit a more healthful lifestyle,
