Specialized Information and Referral

The center provides victims of crime support services to individuals in Los Angeles County and throughout the state of California. Services include court ordered victim restitution services, crime victim support, legal information lines, and specialized information and referral. There are no geographic restrictions.

Services include specialized information and referral about crime victim compensation and restitution; the criminal justice system; and victims' rights for the duration of the criminal justice process.

Services can be accessed by calling or texting the hotline number or by using the website's web chat feature.

The center refers callers to providers in their area including victim/witness assistance programs; advocacy groups; and programs that deal with child abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, identity theft, stalking, assault and friends and families of homicide victims.

The center also compiles legal research and provides publications for service providers and victims of crime.
