Child Abuse Prevention (At Risk Families)

The agency provides child abuse services for at risk families with children age 5 or younger. Services include case/care management for at risk pregnant women and child abuse prevention for at risk families. Services are restricted to families within SPA 5.
The Partnership for Families program is for DCFS referred families and pregnant women who are at risk for child maltreatment due to risk factors such as domestic violence, substance abuse and/or mental heatlh issues, including maternal depression. Direct services include case management; crisis counseling; parenting education; information and referrals to community resources such as food, clothing, shelter, transportation, etc.; in-home visitation; crisis intervention; family advocacy; support groups; substance abuse; domestic violence and mental health services.
