Spouse/Intimate Partner Abuse Counseling

The agency provides family support services for adults 18 and older and youth, 12 to 17 years of age, in the Los Angeles area. Services include anger management, conjoint counseling, family counseling, family reunification, parenting skills development, life skills education, premarital counseling, sexual offenders counseling, spousal/partner abuse counseling, substance use disorder counseling and victims of crime assistance. Services are targeted, but not restricted, to the unemployed and underemployed. Services are court-accepted and staff provide in-home services as necessary. There are no geographic restrictions. Services follow court-mandated regulations and staff will provide progress reports to the court if necessary. Services are provided through a case management program which includes a needs assessment and a case plan development; staff stress family reunification and focus on empowering individuals to become self-sufficient through education and employment. The agency also provides services to some families in dire need of counseling on a pro-bono basis when they need to recover custody of their children. These cases are carefully chosen.
