Food Banks/Food Distribution Warehouses

The agency provides services for non-profit organizations such as churches, food pantries, and shelters to provide emergency food and meals for their clients. Services include a multi-regional food bank, food distribution and food gleaning services. The service area focuses on greater Long Beach, however the agency serves Los Angeles and Orange County organizations.

Please note, this agency does not provide food to the general public and is not available for direct referral. Agencies may call for information and apply using the online application form to become a participating organization. The application asks for the type of food program, the targeted clientele of the agency, the days and times of the meal or food distribution, and specific food requests if applicable.

Food donations are solicited and collected from community donors, grocery stores and restaurants. A related organization provides food gleaning services in conjunction with Food Finders, soliciting growers, both commercial and private parties, to allow volunteers to pick or harvest fresh fruit and vegetables. Volunteers also provide collection and distribution services.
