Congregate Meals/Nutrition Sites
Provider: CITY OF LAWNDALE COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT - SENIOR SERVICES
The program provides nutrition programs for adults 60 years and older who live in Lawndale. Services include congregate meals/nutrition sites and home delivered meals. There are geographic restrictions for some services.
Home delivered meals are provided by Meals On Wheels and are available to people who are frail and unable to shop and cook for themselves. A note from the applicant's physician is requested for verification of eligibility. Home delivered meals are restricted to Lawndale residents only.
Congregate meals are for seniors, 60 years and older, who live in Lawndale and surrounding communities; reservations are suggested. Recreational and social activities as well as transportation to and from the site are also available.

Meals on Wheels are available for $5.50 per meal. The requested donation for the congregate meal is $5 for seniors age 60 and older, $7 for seniors under age 60.
