Congregate Meals/Nutrition Sites
Provider: CITY OF LAWNDALE COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT - SENIOR SERVICES
The program provides nutrition programs for adults 60 years and older who live in Lawndale. Services include congregate meals/nutrition sites and home delivered meals. There are geographic restrictions for some services.
Home delivered meals are provided by Meals On Wheels and are available to people who are frail and unable to shop and cook for themselves. A note from the applicant's physician is requested for verification of eligibility. Home delivered meals are restricted to Lawndale residents only. The program CAN NOT ASSIST residents of El Camino Village and unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County.
Congregate meals are for seniors, 60 years and older, who live in Lawndale and surrounding communities; reservations are suggested. Recreational and social activities as well as transportation to and from the site are also available.
