Local Bus Services

Provider: CITY OF LAWNDALE COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT - SENIOR SERVICES

The program provides transportation for adults 60 years and older, people with disabilities, and residents of the city of Lawndale. Services include local bus services and senior ride programs. Services are restricted to Lawndale residents.

The senior ride program include the center's 18 passenger van and is available for transportation to doctor appointments, hospital visits, or to the senior center itself.

Local bus services include the Lawndale Beat, which serves key destinations within the city of Lawndale.

Application Procedure
Register in the senior center office, registration is for transportation, meal and activity programs.

Ride requests are made through a separate telephone message line. Requests should be placed 48 hours in advance.
Fees
There are no fees for disability and senior ride services. Fees for the Lawndale Beat are $.75 one way, seniors and people with disabilities ride free. Monthly passes for the Lawndale Beat can be purchased for $12.
