Plumbing Permits

This is the government office for the city of Lomita. Services include election information, city information lines, business licensing, building and occupancy inspections, a housing authority, illegal dumping reporting, permits, city maintenance, planning and zoning, trash/garbage pickup and large item trash/garbage pickup. Geographic restrictions apply for water services.

Building permits, electrical permits, elevator permits, mechanical permits, plumbing permits and building and occupancy inspections for any contracted work done within city limits are provided by L A County Building and Safety Department. The city contracts with L A County Fire and L A County Sheriff for fire protection and law enforcement.

City maintenance includes street maintenance, street construction/repair, traffic lighting maintenance and street cleaning. L A County Sanitation Districts and L A County Department of Public Works provide sewer maintenance. L A County Flood Control maintains all storm drains and Southern California Edison maintains most street lights.

Trash and large item pickup is provided by CalMet Services, Inc.
