General Paratransit/Community Ride Programs
Provider: CITY OF EL MONTE COMMUNITY AND SENIOR SERVICES - JACK CRIPPEN MULTIPURPOSE SENIOR CENTER
The center provides transportation services for adults 50 years and older who live in El Monte and surrounding communities. Services include general paratransit/community ride programs, and paratransit vouchers. Geographic restrictions apply for some services.
Transportation to and from the center is available for El Monte residents. Dial-A-Ride services are offered for seniors age 55 and older and for adults of any age who have disabilities. People who have medical appointments or who need to visit governmental/benefit offices within five miles of El Monte may utilize the service five days per week. In addition, monthly bus passes are available for eligible seniors and for people who have disabilities.

Application Procedure
Call or walk in for information. Some programs and services require advance reservations/registration or an appointment.
People who wish to use the Dial-A-Ride program must call for information; certification is completed at the Transportation Office. Required documentation includes a picture ID, proof of residency and age, or a doctor's verification for people who have disabilities. Dial-A-Ride reservations for trips outside the city and requests for senior center transportation should be made 24 hours in advance; people who need wheelchair lift vehicles should indicate this when requesting service.
