Fundraising Event Volunteer Opportunities
Provider: MINORITY AIDS PROJECT
The agency provides volunteer opportunities to individuals living in Los Angeles. Services include custodian volunteer opportunities and fund raising event volunteer opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions.
Fund raising event volunteers provide support for the agency's annual events including National Black HIV/AIDs Awareness Day, L. A. Pride Parade and Festival, holiday feedings, World AIDS Day, MAP supported AIDS Walk and other fund raisers as needed to support the work of Minority AIDS Project (MAP).
Volunteers will help with varying tasks, such as general cleaning, office work, donation solicitation, restroom sanitation, outdoor maintenance, food pantry stocking, fundraising, special event assistance and other varying tasks.
MAP enlists the assistance of court appointed volunteer assignments (Community Service). Community Service Workers (CSW) are assigned specific task and monitored by the Volunteer Coordinator.

Application Procedure
Call to apply for volunteer opportunities. All volunteers must complete a volunteer application, possess a valid identification/driver's license, must provide a TB test (with non-reactive reading), complete an AIDS 101 course Pre-test and Post-test and read and sign the Volunteer Guidelines.
All Community Service Workers are required to have court documents, picture ID and a TB test before beginning their assignment.

Fees
There are no fees to volunteer. Court appointed/ordered volunteering requires a small processing fee.
