In Person Crisis Intervention

Provider: CENTER FOR THE PACIFIC ASIAN FAMILY INC

The program provides sexual assault services for children 12 years of age and older and adults in Los Angeles. Services include sexual assault hotlines, crisis intervention, sexual assault counseling and sexual assault education and prevention. Services are targeted, but not restricted, to Asian Pacific Islanders. There are no geographic restrictions.

Hotline staff provide intake for the agency's emergency shelter and victim advocacy.

Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) advocates are available to accompany survivors undergoing a sexual assault forensic exam, as requested by police or a SART Center forensic nurse. Staff advocates are also available for advocacy and accompaniment for survivors interacting with law enforcement, courts and DCFS.

Prevention services include outreach and educational presentations to schools and community groups about sexual assault. Teen and child-focused curricula include healthy relationships workshops, rape prevention/consent education and good touch/bad touch workshops.
