Mpox Control
Provider: LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH - VACCINE PREVENTABLE DISEASE CONTROL PROGRAM
The Vaccine Preventable Disease Control Program is responsible for outreach to the public on the importance of the JYNNEOS vaccine approved to prevent mpox (formerly known as monkeypox).
VACCINATION SITES AND APPOINTMENTS:
JYNNEOS is a 2-dose vaccine that is given by injection. The vaccine is available to anyone who thinks they are at risk for getting mpox. Two doses are needed to be fully protected. Insurance is not required and you do not have to share any information about personal risk or immigration status.

MEDICAL PROVIDER & CLINIC REFERRALS
The risk of mpox in the general population remains very low. Please contact your healthcare provider if you believe you have been exposed or have signs or symptoms of Mpox. People without a regular provider that have developed a rash in the genital or perianal area can access services at Public Health’s Sexual Health Clinics:

If symptomatic, please do not attend the vaccination clinics or walk-up sites.
