Provider: LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH - VACCINE PREVENTABLE DISEASE CONTROL PROGRAM

The Vaccine Preventable Disease Control Program is responsible for outreach to the public on the importance of regularly scheduled childhood, adolescent and adult immunizations; preventive travel immunizations and Hepatitis B prevention. It is responsible for outreach to the public on the importance of immunizations which prevent diseases like Hepatitis B, Influenza, Pertussis, Measles, Mumps and Tetanus.

The Program's website contains information about childhood, adolescent, adult and travel immunization, as well as information regarding school and childcare immunization requirements. In addition, a list of providers who offer immunizations at no-cost or low-cost to residents who do not have access to immunizations through a regular provider. The Program also offers immunization educational material and presentations to providers, schools, childcare centers and community agencies.
