The BankOn Los Angeles County Coalition is managed by the County of Los Angeles Department of Consumer and Business Affairs' Center for Financial Empowerment. The program works with community organizations, County departments, and financial institutions to connect residents to safe and affordable financial products and increase access to mainstream, low-cost bank accounts. This helps avoid expensive alternative financial services and puts individuals on a path to increased savings and financial empowerment.
The banks and credit unions that join Bank On must include services that are considered safe for consumers.
