Provider: PEOPLE ASSISTING THE HOMELESS

The PATHMall location provides veterans services for homeless veterans and their families. Services are targeted to low-income men and women who have served in the military and who were discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable. Services include Homeless Financial Assistance Programs for Veterans and Families of Veterans;employment services through a Homeless Veteran Reintegration Program; transitional shelter, and specialized information and referral for community services. There are no geographic restrictions.

The PATHMall Veterans program includes a rapid re-housing program through its HUD/VASH program. Veterans who qualify may be eligible for supported housing vouchers. Veterans who do not qualify due to disability or discharge status and low-income veterans and their families that are at risk for homelessness or are homeless may receive eviction prevention assistance, housing location assistance, case management and specialized information and referral to community services and public benefits.

Veteran benefits assistance provides help with applying for and obtaining benefits from the Veterans Administration as well as assistance with disputed claims. Other benefit assistance includes assistance in applying for SSI, SSDI, CalFresh and other benefits.
