Food Rescue Programs

The agency is available to participate as a recipient in a food rescue program. Food rescue programs collect unused portions of prepared foods or perishable foods from restaurants, cafeterias, corporate food services, caterers, grocery stores, and special events and deliver food donations directly to agencies (such as crisis shelters, transitional facilities, soup kitchens and homeless shelters) with on-site meal programs. The agency provides warm meals and home-delivered meals Monday through Friday. The service area is primarily the Southeast County area, however no one is turned away who needs food.
